Ghost of Yōtei is a continuation of the game Ghost of Tsushima, being a game focused on stealth and belonging to the action and adventure genre where it takes place in Japan in the feudal period during the Mongol invasion on the island of Tsushima. In the new game, it will take place in 1603 in the lands around Mount Yōtei and, despite being a sequel, it is not a continuation of the story of the first game and the story is focused on the main character being Atsu, a warrior known as "Phantom".
The new game produced by the Sucker Punch Productions studio will follow the same genre as its predecessor and will be released exclusively for the Playstation 5 and will have a computer version in the future. Ghost of Yōtei was presented at State of Play on September 24th last year and raised enormous hype due to the success of the first game which, despite having a lot of critical support, ended up not winning Game Of The Year (GOTY) for 2020 and second only to another Sony game, The Last of Us Part 2.
The game will be released this year without a specific date and promises to give the player more freedom to explore the map and avoid the repetition of content for which the first game was criticized. Without a doubt, it is one of the most anticipated games this year, especially for Sony fans.
Mafia The Old Country

Mafia The Old Country is a new sequel to the Mafia game series that talks about criminal life within organized crime. The new game in the series will address how the entire universe of the previous games began, taking players to Italy in the Sicily region in the 1900s. The game will tell the story of Enzo, a young Italian who ends up delving deeper into the underworld of clandestine crime and making his hands increasingly dirty in exchange for power.
The new game developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2k was announced at Gamescom 2024 and caught the attention of fans of the series due to the last game in the series being produced in 2016, not counting the 2002 Mafia remake released in 2020, and so the series did not have its own game until the announcement of this new sequel to the saga. The games in the saga have always followed the action and adventure genre and it appears that Mafia The Old Country will have the same style of play as the previous ones.
The game is scheduled to be released in 2025 without a defined date at the moment, being accessible for Playstation 5, Xbox X|S and for computers. Being a highly anticipated game for fans of the Mafia series.

However, despite this, this element is one of the game's charms, which Kojima manages to do perfectly.
It was first announced at the TGA in 2022 and in 2024, during the State of Play event, it has a release date of 2025. The game will be developed by the Kojima productions studio and published by Playstation, being released exclusively for Playstation 5 and possibly in the future a version will be released for other platforms.
The new game appears to follow the same gameplay genre as the first, being a walking simulator, which you can see in the trailer available on the Playstation channel.

Grand Theft Auto VI

Grand Theft Auto VI is unquestionably the most hyped game compared to all the games this year. One of the most valued franchises in the world, GTA VI will be set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, including the iconic Vice City, a fictional version of Miami. The game promises to be the biggest game of the decade, and could certainly move billions of dollars.
The game will tell the story of the criminal duo Lucia and Jason, in which they delve deeper into the criminal underworld. The GTA franchise is known for its freedom and acid humor, which is the reason for the saga's so much success, the new game however will be the first in which a female character will participate as the main character. The arrival of this new GTA will bring with it an in-depth story and an open world full of missions for the player to complete, as well as the high number of Easter eggs and details that Rockstar is known for creating.
The launch of a game of GTA-level proportions will naturally make all other games released in the same period overshadowed. This situation makes all gaming companies try to launch their products as soon as possible to achieve the desired visibility, even more so because Rockstar announced that its new game could come out between October and December this year.
The game will be released for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version being released in the future.

Assassin's Creed Shadows
Assassin's Creed Shadows is the new game in the Assassin's Creed series, set in feudal Japan during the end of the Sengoku period. Ubisoft's new game promises to be a good game that will restore the company's fame.
The new Assassin's Creed will tell the story of Naoe, a shinobi, and Yasuke, a samurai of African descent, with Naoe bringing a more stealthy gameplay and Yasuke bringing a more frantic style of play. The difference in the style of play that each one employs means that they can have gameplay that is not boring, however this mechanic will have to be designed in a way that keeps the player entertained and does not become uneven or overwhelming.
Despite the stumbles that Ubisoft has suffered recently, it doesn't hurt to give its new game a chance, which, from the looks of it, will try to fix the mistakes of its predecessor and other games recently launched by the company, being released in the first quarter of 2025, but it may suffer from a postponement, for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms.
