Was State of Play 2025 a Good Event?

The event held on February 12 presented several games, DLCs and projects in which Sony is working. But was it a good event? Undoubtedly, the main problem was the high expectation of the announced games, of course, Days Gone's Remaster was the main joke of the whole event,But even if this Remaster would not have been announced, most would find the event average or bad because of the lack of exclusive PlayStation 5 games that is a console featuring a scarce catalog, unlike PlayStation 4.

The lack of projects that please the public and that are at least questionable is a problem in which Sony is facing most likely because of its recent projects that have failed and resulting in detriment to the company, such as Concord and Foamstars. These choices made by Sony to make service games have made PlayStation studios spend resources on an idea that does not appeal to most of their audience, so needing time to recover from that damage.

The end of the "war of console" can also be a reason for Sony to stop working in its games that have the deepest story, because after all there is no reason to stand out if the market has no more competitors. One of Sony's mistakes is also not listening to its audience to make games or bring sequences that would be well regarded by people, and can make more profit than their new projects because there are people who will buy your product.
